Seams like Fun podcast

This is a motivational/educational podcast meant to encourage those who own sewing machines, but are a little intimidated, to actually start using them.

For things with steep learning curves, like using a sewing machine, starting is often the hardest part. With this podcast episode, I hope to ease some of people's concerns when it comes to starting. I have been sewing for many years, but I remember exactly how it felt when I wanted to start. The idea of messing up, and potentially ruining fabric can be kind of scary but there really is no other way to learn.

Every hobby has a starting point like this, you wouldn’t expect a baker to never burn or mess up on a project, and sewing is the same.

In this episode, I cover what you will actually need to get started, including a seam ripper (for the inevitable mistakes) and give motivational advice on how to get over being scared of starting. This has been created in partnership with Singer sewing machines, a company that makes machines that are great for beginners.

Hopefully after listening, you feel prepared to break out your sewing machine, and know what you need to start.
